Last week of discussion :( - Question 2
My favorite thing about this class was the blogging. I used
to blog on Tumblr and I really enjoyed it. It was such a different feel than
any of my classes and since this was my first online class, the blogging aspect
really did make me enjoy it. At first, I thought it would just be reading and
tests online but I really do like writing and having people comment on it and
give their feedback. I also did like how I can interact with my classmates
through their blogs because other online classes I’ve heard about did not do
that. I don't think there is anything I particularly disliked about this class,
because I really did enjoy the assignments and even the papers. I don't
normally like writing papers but as a comm major, I definitely enjoyed learning
and writing about interpersonal communication. I think this class does not
really need any improvement because it's good how it is. It is also very convenient
and easy to learn.

I really liked what you picked for you favorite thing. I actually didn't consider the blogging part to be a factor of the class, more just something we had to do to communicate concepts with one another. That's really cool that you enjoy blogging and being able to comment on other people's blogs. I definitely think it helps connect the class better and it's nice to get some sort of interaction out of an online class. Nice post!
ReplyDeleteThe same thing happened with me. I used to blog on Tumbler so this class pretty much came naturally. Just ramble on about a topic on a familiar user interface. Simple blogging rather than writing up papers on microsoft word really helped me get my ideas flowing and allowed me to expand the topic to whatever it is I'd like to talk about. Like you, I loved looking at the comment section. I actually have it all sent to my email and I can read it instantly when someone comments. At times I see some people criticize my thoughts and opinions and I just tell myself to let it go because people have different opinions. I remember back on tumblr I would count the reposts or favorites on my philosophy posts.
ReplyDeleteI agree, the blogging made this class really unique in its own way. I felt like the blogging helped organized a lot of things and it is a nice way for students to stay connected. At first, i thought it was really confusing and hard to navigate through but over time it became a lot easier. Although i have never blogged before, i think this was a pretty good experience and it has changed my opinion over blogging. I think one of my most favorite things was that i was able to express myself truthfully and honestly because my name is anonymous, i would not have to worry about others against me. I was never really interested in blogging but this class has definitely changed that.
